So excited and grateful to be part of a group from Saint Vincent College receiving a National Science Foundation (NSF) award to help build capacity at Saint Vincent College for increased research and grants together with Michael A. and Stephen Jodis. This award is a collaboration with other under-resourced institutions aimed at achieving the same goals. Together we are stronger! Excited to work with a great group including a HBCU Winston-Salem State University (Fenghai Guo) a 2-year community college Arkansas College, and a primarily undergraduate state university Middle Georgia State University! The goal is that this mechanism will lead to more grants! "This collaborative aims to increase innovation capacity at each institution by growing external and internal partnerships, establishing a more inclusive research/innovation ecosystem, and broadening the participation of a skilled, diverse workforce as part of the research enterprise nationally."#research #datascience #diversity #innovationhttps://lnkd.in/equWTDWP

"Data is information that leads to knowledge" a favorite quote of some of my Saint Vincent College students after hearing an exciting panel of Federated Hermes data analysts and scientists talk about what they do in their daily lives with #datascience! We had a packed audience of eager students! Thanks to our speakers: Zachary Bono (alum of ‘11), Patrick O’Reilly (alum of ‘15), John Murray, and Jordan Sabol (alum of ‘23). Saint Vincent College and Dr. Justin Petrovich for organizing! #dataanalytics #datascience #mckennaschoolsvc #liberalarts
